I live in Rochester New York and am able to see a few Rochester Red Wing games per year (the Twins AAA affiliate). Does anyone know if Buxton and Sano will begin the year at Double or Triple-A. And if in Double-A for both is it possible both could go from Double-A to the Majors. Thanks.

Buxton will almost certainly begin the season in AA. Sano is less obvious, he made it to AA and hit very well, so he's in a similar situation as Baez. He had some concerning peripherals and is only 21 this year though, so it wouldn't be outrageous to keep him in AA either.

 

Best guess, Buxton is in AA for several months at least, and if Sano is in AA at all, it will be a short spell at the beginning of the year.

Would you expect Sano and Buxton to be skipped from AA to the majors. Or is it likely they will spend atleast a month or two in AAA.

I hate saying it, but I'd say its 50/50. Dependent upon their performance and the ML team. They signed some pitching, so if they look up at the end of June, see themselves within striking distance of a playoff spot somehow and one or both are doing well? I could see a callup directly to the majors.
