Similar pattern with Arietta every game.

 

First few innings looks great then loses command at first sign of trouble.

Arrieta may be best as a late inning arm for us. His numbers first time thru the order versus after is pretty startling. Bosio deserves a shot with him, but if he winds up as a late inning arm, I'm OK with it. I basically am hoping for one of him or Grimm to become a back end rotation piece.

I really want to see Lim today.

Yeah, I'm thinly penciling in both Lim and Rosscup, along with Strop, Russell, Parker, and Villanueva for the pen next year. With the other spot coming from one of Arrieta/Grimm/Rusin/Rondon/Vizcaino/Rivero. And I like that, as a whole, even if there's not a single addition added to the mix.

He's really old now and has two TJ surgeries under his belt, but 92-93 is still pretty hard from that arm slot.

he's hit 93 a time or two, but has been working at 89-91. hopefully that improves.
