For some reason Dejesus is in left and Lake is in center tonight.

Well, why not? That seems like a perfect time to try something random like that. Did I miss anything in the first two innings?

 

DeJesus threw out Mesoraco trying to stretch a single into a double, the Cubs have turned 2 DPs, and the Cubs batters are averaging about 2 pitches/PA.

Last time the CUBS held the opponents to 4 hits in a game.... Thu 11 Jul 2013 (4 hits) in a 3-0 win over St. Louis at Wrigley

What is the record for least amount of pitches seen by an offense in a 9 inning game?

 

Considering that the world has only been tracking pitch counts for the last 20 years or so..... who knows ???

Yeah, surely it was a valid question in a game where the pitcher has thrown 76 pitches through 7 innings and not just the spastic flailing of That Guy.

Well of course it was a valid question, but that doesn't change the fact that, as I pointed out, the answer is indeterminable.
