As someone who loves all 4 of these sports, this is 100% wrong. You can't really have a legitimate opinion on the topic since you admittedly have no interest in hockey and are going to rule against it in any comparison.

In an attempt to be objective, I could see putting it ahead of basketball (mainly because I hate the way the World Basketball Federation is officiated) and I'd agree with goony that a comparison with football isn't really a fair comparison (really with any sport). I will blindly and biasedly (I don't know that to be a word) put baseball ahead of it all day, though.

most playoff baseball games are just as boring as regular season games.

Nah. On everything you just said.

Apparently Bergeron has been in the hospital since game 6 ended.

Ha. Wow.

I've really become disinterested in baseball the last several years. In 2007-08, I was as rabid a fan as they come. And those October flameouts were obviously disappointing. But around that same time the Hawks were rising and I started watching a lot more of their games again, including the playoffs. And the excitement is just so much greater to me in hockey that it made watching baseball seem like something old people do to pass the time.

Even when the Hawks are down, Pat Foley still has a pretty great gig. Even regular season games have energy. I just feel bad for Len and JD these days. Can you imagine watching that crap and trying to make it interesting every day?

All that said, I admit I may be singing a different tune once the Cubs contend again.

I think the tension in the air for any elimination game makes those baseball playoffs fairly riveting viewing. I could not care less about other teams playoff games though, and any non-elimination game just isn't intriguing. It doesn't help that they can last 3.5 hours just to see 9 innings.

And then it came to the Finals.

In the end, the Bruins did exactly what they’ve done all season -- blow leads late in the third period. Boston completely crapped their draws in Game 1 and then again with a minute left in Game 6. We’d like to say we’re surprised but we’re not. It was their calling card for the entire season and was fitting they would end their own hopes and dreams the same way.

If nothing else, this series taught us that Blackhawks fans realize an old, battered Bobby Orr is better than any player their organization has ever produced.

Goodbye, Zdeno Chara and Dennis Seidenberg. You were a great pairing during the Stanley Cup Finals:

They were, by far, the best Blackhawks on the ice the entire series.

Written by a Bruins Blogger. Defeats the point of the whole eulogy exercise, imo.

yeah, quite pointless.

You knew it would be bad when they started off with a Dunkin Donuts joke and a "city of Boston is all about championship" statement for why they'd be disappointed with a loss in the final.

So apparently Claude Julien said today that Bergeron has a small hole in his lung.

There's being a tough guy and gutting it out. Then there's being an idiot and risking too much.

He also had a nerve frozen to play through the pain.

That's probably where he would have brought the cup.

Are people that work for reasonable employers downtown getting the opportunity to go to the parade/rally tomorrow? I work on Washington so I should be able to run down and watch them go by, but otherwise it's business as usual for me : (
