Camp has been awful for quite some time now. Put ANYONE else in, we're building for the future anyway, which Camp isn't going to be a part of.

Since the odds of getting hits against Chapman are so low, doesn't that mean Jackson trying to steal 3rd was the right thing to do?

Sac flies and wild pitches come into play then.

I really didn't have a problem with Jackson trying to steal 3rd there in the 9th. With one out he scores on a sac fly or wild pitch , which Chapman is certainly capable of. Now, letting Clevenger bat there is another story.

That's the idea, but it's a lower than average likelihood since it's a steal of 3rd, Chapman throws incredibly hard, and Clevenger is LH(meaning no obstruction for the catcher).

I'm not sure how the percentages play out exactly in such an extreme case(no one hits off Chapman, but it's maybe the worst possible SB situation), but if you aren't willing to play the platoon split, I think I'd probably just see if Clevenger can use his contact ability to scratch out an RBI single.

Clevenger getting the amount of PT that he is - disappointing.

Well, I'll just be happy that Brett put the ball in play against Chapman, let alone a solid double.

Also, Castillo's foot is apparently hurt, so it's probably either Clevenger or Mather who would've taken the AB. Neither is that appealing.

Ah. I see.

I went up to the game today. I didn't expect much and Camp delivered. On the plus side I picked up a t-shirt that says "I'M WITH PETE...give me $200 on the Reds." Also, the town of Cincinnati has a raging sports boner for Ryan Hanigan.
