Almora apparently threw someone out at home.

Technically, he hit the cutoff man who threw out someone at home. Though according to the play-by-play, the guy was trying to score from 1st on a line drive single to CF. That's probably not super accurate.

The temptation to send Goldstein a "Almora is OPSing 1.666, how long til they move him to Peoria?" tweet is almost overwhelming.

i don't think I realized how well gioskar amaya is playing. 312/392/536 coming into tonight. in the top 15 at this point?

I think he's somewhere in that 12-15 range, especially with him flashing more pop.

Brett has a very solid rapport with Goldstein and gets most stuff answered. Other than that though, Goldstein seems to ignore most all good questions, to give his one liners to stupid ones.

The audio on that was extremely good. Soler's HR yesterday also sounded incredible.

IDK if it's something about the audio, but both of their HRs were LOUD.

i think it's more the complete lack of people in attendance. any pitched ball coming in at 90 mph and then traveling 400 feet is going to make a loud sound on contact. you're probably just used to hearing home run balls in major league games where there's background noise of tens of thousands of people cheering and talking and what not.
