Turn the calendar over to May.

Interesting factoid; through 4 weeks, the top two teams in each division lead in total points and have given up the fewest. Meanwhile, the bottom two teams in each division have scored the fewest and given up the most. Usually, that symmetry doesn't happen, so we'll see how it plays out over the season.

i feel compelled to point out that last year i was criticized for stockpiling prospects in hopes that my team could "maybe make the playoffs" by 2014 or 2015... right now i am undefeated and leading in points.

I feel compelled to point out that someone else left you with a pretty solid draft of prospects and a huge point cushion and was criticized for leaving the team completely bare...

i was quite happy with the prospects i inherited, but my major leagues were pretty much bereft of talent (i guess "huge point cushion" is the very generous way of putting that)

we're all very proud of you.

I feel compelled to point out that my team [expletive] sucks.

well, the good news is that it's pretty easy to turn it around in this league. 2000 points is a pretty low keeper cap considering that elite pitchers pile up 800 points and elite hitters around 600. your minor league system was awful but it looks like you made some really solid picks there, and cespedes is looking like a really good keeper. plus you'll have early draft picks and some room to add good players before the draft.

I don't know why, but I thought of this...

Picked up Homer Bailey, because I have 5 injured players, even though CBS tells me I can only have three.

put pablo sandoval on dl and added some [expletive] third baseman to fill in for him.

With Youkilis, Longoria, Zimmerman and Sandoval on the shelf, the pickings are really slim at 3rd now.

yeah i was not excited about the potential replacements.

i have chris young, cliff lee and sandoval on the DL right now, with nick swisher also wasting space by being hurt for the entire week but not DL'ed. could use some better health.

I dropped Chipper on the SAME DAY Longoria got hurt. And he goes out and hits a gw hr the very next day.

I'm cursed this year so far.

I have three if anyone wants to make a trade. Could use a 1b or 2b.

how many bench spots do we have now? i made a mad dash to pick up robertson only to see i was beaten to the punch by tim, who i noticed seems to have a 4 man bench.

also, for some dumb ass reason waivers are set for tuesdays, so i'll make it sunday morning as was requested by someone.

Yeah, speaking of, I added someone last week and didn't check my roster to see it was considered a waiver add so now I have like last priority which is BS.

yeah tim needs to drop someone.

since when can we add a player to go over the roster limit anyway?

if i'm reading the transactions right, he had too many guys on his roster before he added robertson/dropped rasmus?

Yeah, I'll drop someone else before start of action tomorrow.

Would there be any objection if I dropped Santiago and played shorthanded this week with an extra guy on my bench?

yes, he has 16 starters (that's the max) and 4 reserves - only 19 major league players are allowed.

I screwed something up in the past week - I'll fix it, but please see the above question for how I'll go about it.
