Back in my day...

 

In 1962, 3001 HR were hit, 20 teams played baseball, and they played 154 games each.

 

In 2011, 4568 HR were hit, 30 teams played baseball, and they played 162 games each.

The only thing more painful than him doing a game at all is when he and Buck are tonguing the Cardinals junk when they do one of their games together.

The only thing more painful than him doing a game at all is when he and Buck are tonguing the Cardinals junk when they do one of their games together.

 

They played 162 games in 1962 and the average was .926 HR/game. The general point still stands, though.
