Howbout Sage Rosenfels? It would appear he's been released as well

Both him and McNabb I would take as the backup over McCown and obviously Enderle. Neither should replace Hanie, however. I have a weird feeling he's going to turn out to be perfectly sufficient. I'm probably putting too much stock into the second half of the Raiders game.

Pretty sure I'd rather play Enderle than McNabb. I'd have to think long and hard if I had to choose between McNabb and Todd Collins.

I don't think he can do much but McNabb is clearly a better option than Collins and probably better than Enderle.

Did you see McNabb play this year? At least Emberle gives you a possibility of not every pass ending up near his receivers toes. The Collins comment was hyperbole but not by a lot.

McNabb had a QB rating of 84ish on the season. Remember, Minnesota was good at getting first half leads early in the season. Granted, Adrian Peterson had something to with that.

If only we had a great RB.

looks like mcnabb will clear waivers and be there for the signing.

it states that it's not likely he clears waivers, which is kind of ridiculous because if dallas doesn't put in a claim on him, then if the bears don't he'll definitely clear and be available to sign to a lesser deal.

What I'd heard with the Orton situation is that the reason the Bears put in a claim is that they thought if he cleared waivers, then he might get some multiyear offers from teams interested in him.
