According to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times, Mike Quade will not return as Cubs' manager next season.

To the surprise of absolutely nobody. Quade has one year remaining on his contract and a club option for 2013, but most expected the new Cubs' front office would make a change in the dugout. Many have already speculated that Ryne Sandberg could be his replacement, but team president Theo Epstein released a statement Wednesday saying that he wants someone who has coaching or managerial experience at the major league level. That's not the case with Sandberg.
