Bud Black? - never mind

Ok, not much to report here - but it's being talked about on the Score. Apparently there are rumors floating around that Hoyer is going to bring Bud Black with him to manage the Cubs.

 

No link yet, hopefully one emerges. Anyone know much about this guy?

That would be cool. Been a fan since he was the pitching coach for the Angels...he and Farrell are two guys who IMO can break the whole "pitchers don't make good coaches/managers" mold.

I once saw a Royals-White Sox DH at Comiskey where Bud Black & Vida Blue were the starting pitchers for KC. My friend's parents got us into a suite, so I saw probably 4 innings the whole day. We were too busy runnign around and ordering food from the wait staff.
