enjoy it - it will be your last for quite a while.

It's nice of you to take part in the prince fielder farewell tour. and to welcome him to his new digs? sportsmanship off the charts.

Don't worry Brewer fans are very polite and nice on the road, unlike a certain team fans are when they go on the road.

No, they're drunk assholes with a huge inferiority complex who, by and large, don't know [expletive] about baseball. I prefer Cardinals fans.

You can have Fielder and his terrible defense at first.

Sweet. I didn't know it was that easy.

He's not the only Brewer fan I've talked to who believes Mat Gamel is going to replicate Prince's production in year one, either.

I don't think that about Gamel. I would like to see Braun move to first, Gamel is a head case. Fielder has to be one of the worst first basemen out there, I will miss his homeruns but not his D.

Yeah, I'm sure you won't miss a future HOFer who's just entering his peak.

We'll deal with his D. Have fun watching the spectacle all the volatile personalities on your squad will provide next year when the losing starts.

It's great you're so enamored with defense, Carlos Pena is about the best 1B you can hope for. Be sure to come back around and let us know how that works out.

With not much else to root for at all, I'm holding out hope that the Brewers don't clinch at Wrigley. Something that will be rather tough to do after tonight.

EDIT: Saw in the game thread that it can't be done at all so....cool I guess.

wrigley is an old ballpark with small seats, how do brewer fans fit in them?

They're also rather expensive, so how to Brewer fans afford them?

The only time I've ever been to a Cubs game in which the away teams fans took over Wrigley were the Twins in 2009. Those were some obnoxious bastards. Of course, I've never been to a game at Wrigley vs. the Yanks or Red Sox, and I'm assuming they'd be worse.

The Mets pack Wrigley each time I've seen them here. They aren't as obnoxious as Brewers or Cards fans, but their presence somehow annoys me more.

I was at one of these games and was just as surprised as you were. Geographically, I suppose it shouldn't have been that shocking, but my goodness, the way that lot reacted every time a Twins player got a hit (which was quite a lot, alas), you'd think the game, the division and a title had been won on a base hit.

When the Reds were good for a time under Lou they use to pack Wrigley. The ones that came to Wrigley were obnoxious.
