The Phillies are amazing, but it's pretty funny to see them paying Ryan Howard $25 million for an .840 OPS, .357 wOBA and -12 fielding (+/-).

The only poster you could say implied that only the Phillies pitching is awesome which doesnt make them an awesome team is Mojo, and he didn't come out and say it like that. You can certainly believe a team is awesome and point out areas where they are less than awesome.

 

Exactly. Gooney's just looking for a fight. I'm not disagreeing with the idea that the Phillies are awesome; I was just specifying why I think they're awesome, which is the starting rotation. The offense is certainly serviceable, but really nothing special at all this year. I'm not going to pretend like I'm wowed by their rather Cub-like offense when I'm not. Their pitching is the reason why I'm impressed.
