Michael Morse has been out of the lineup since the first game of a DH on Saturday. He has a hairline fracture and could land on the DL. I have replaced him in the lineup with Eric Thames.

Top score of the week so far, thanks to Duensing's complete game shutout. I lead my game despite having one fewer pitching start. However, I was in that same situation early last week and still managed to lose.

Of all people too ;-). Its like the Cubs getting that from Doug Davis. I've still got two starts from Verlander to help out.

Of all people too ;-). Its like the Cubs getting that from Doug Davis. I've still got two starts from Verlander to help out.

Luckily Verlander got 29 points prior to being ejected.

Apparently he was being taken out anyway and got ejected for arguing with the umpire as he was leaving.

Two 20+ point starts on the bench for me today while I get 5 points from Davis in my lineup. :banghead:

 

Looking ahead, are we going with 4 starts next week as we have in past years?

am i allowed to drop vance worley and pick up another pitcher? he pitched well this week but is being sent down. now with matusz and drabek in the minors, along with worley, i have 14 players on my roster who are in the minor leagues.

 

if anyone would like one of those 14 players - presumably someone who has bad prospects and room to stash a prospect on their roster - make me an offer. (note - i don't mean mike trout/julio teheran/shelby miller)

if he's being sent down, i believe you can drop him and replace him in your lineup.

i'm trying. hitting .378 for the week and 2 of my 3 starts have been 27+ points. would help if my closers would get in a game or two.

Jose Reyes to the DL, picked up Clint Barmes and inserted him in the lineup.

 

With Casey Blake on the DL, I cut him and bumped Lonnie Chisenhall from the minors to my starting lineup.

 

Placed Jon Lester on my DL.

The Rays placed Wade Davis on the DL today, so I picked up Kevin Correia. I won't start him this week (even though it's awful tempting to use him against the Cubs' "offense") since Davis wasn't scheduled for another start this week. I moved Jason Castro to my minor league roster (he still has eligibility and I had an open spot) to clear room on my DL.
