Not sure if this is the appropriate place for it to go, but if it should go towards a different section, feel free to move it.

I scored some tickets for the Cubs/Royals game on Friday 6/24, so I'm looking foward to that game. Are there any NSBB'ers heading to KC for the game(s) for the weekend?

I had tickets, but moved before I had the chance to use them. I've been to the K a bunch though, it's a great place to watch a game.

You were one of the members I was thinking of when I made this post. Bummer to hear about you moved, but were you once at Topeka, Kansas?

Yep, Topeka.

For anyone thinking of going or going to an additional game, for my money the best seats for the price(although all of them are cheap) are lower level down the line. You have to be careful that you don't get put too far down though, because the foul pole/corner seats are kinda lame IMO.

I'm going to the 6/26 game.... I'll be at Section 102 Row D. It's my first time going to the K so it should be interesting.

Enjoy the game! Take an oppiturnity to walk around the stadium, especially out by the oufield.

TT, I agree with you. Unfortunately, the LL section close to the dugouts/homeplate is very excessive (price) and I wasn't too keen on dropping $100 for two tickets for that section. I managed to score $52 total for two tickets outfield seats, which they're generally placed at $30 per ticket, plus MLB service fee, etc, etc, which the total would had been $72.

I rarely ever buy stuff off stubhub or ticketmaster, but stubhub was a winner in this one, as it saved me $20 bucks, and the printing off tickets was icing on the cake, which $5 for 2 tickets (still dumb) is better than $8 service fee per ticket.

Thanks, will do. The game starts at 1:10 PM. What time should I be at the K? Is the traffic a mess at the K or is it an easy place to get to for parking? Just wondering when I should leave here in the morning (live in Fayetteville so I'm thinking it's probably going to take me 3 1/2 hrs to get to KC???) cuz I wanna take pics/be in my seats for BP as I could catch a ball/etc.... Also any food to try out there at the stadium as well? My birthday is the next day (6/27) so this game is basically my bday gift to myself.

I also got 2 tickets (Section 250 Row EE) to the Royals/Red Sox series in August... 8/19 Friday night and I'm gonna get a hotel room somewhere in KC close to clubs/bars so me and my buddy can go party after the game. Then Sat during the day, we wanted to go to the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and a BBQ place to eat at and maybe somewhere else to visit before heading back. Any suggestions or recommendations?

I will be there on Friday with a group of guys. We are coming from St. Louis, sitting in section 246.

I hear it is buck night? I believe that entails $1 for most concessions stand foods.

I'll be driving up from AR for the Fri/Sat games. Looking forward to it. The last time I saw a game in KC, George Brett was the 3B. I'm old....

I'll be there on Saturday. Not sure where yet. Hopefully the father-in-law threw down for some decent seats.

I had every intention of making the road trip to KC for this whole series...... and then my nephew, CubmanPi, decides to haul off and commit matrimony that weekend out in California. [sigh] That boy has no sense of timing at all !!! So, I'm off to California.

Well.... I have considered doing just that...... but A) I'd still like to be on speaking terms with my nephew, and B) dispatch came up with a killer load for me out of California on Monday...... so, what'rya gonna do ???

SS,

It depends on where u are coming from, but if u can get to the K before say, 11a.m. , you should have no problems getting in. As for traffic, some days, its not so bad, some other days, its brutal. Since its the Cubs, I would imagine traffice might be more busy than say the Arizona Diamondbacks, because, well, it is the Cubs.

And other recommendations is in the KC area is seeing the Power and Light District in downtown KC, west of the K, on I-70. There's also the Crown Plaza on the south side of KC as well.

Any of you guys want to meet up prior to the game on Friday, just send me a PM, and I'll gladly give you my number.

Illinoiguy, u say section 246? I'm at section 251, outfield seats.

Strange, I thought Friday is buck night, per kcroyals.com, last I checked. Wonder if that changed at the last minute....

Coming from the south, especially that early, there won't be any traffic.
