Byrd just got hit in the head with a pitch and left the game. He walked off the field though. Reed coming in.

His eyes looked to be all over the place when he was walking off. I have a feeling he was concussed even though he got up right away.

lol Koyie Hill...how much worse can you be

Isn't he on the roster because of his alleged defensive prowess?

That was the cheapest homer I've seen in some time. And that [expletive] only picked a ball up off the floor and gets his own [expletive] sideline special. Meanwhile, I have no video evidence of my barehanded grab in the upper deck.

I do have a foul ball, though, so I still win.

John King of CNN was in that Green Monster box where Papi's homer landed.

And if his work on the night Bin Laden died is any indication he's on his 43rd beer or so.

I've already seen more than enough of Mike Quade. Z was at 118 pitches in the 6th with two on and Quade leaves him in. Naturally, the Red Sox score seconds after.

That Byrd HBP looked scary.

Since the game isn't providing anything entertaining to discuss...

If Byrd is going to be out for an extended period of time, do the Cubs go for broke and call up Brett Jackson to start in center?

The game just got kind of interesting.
