hr and a walk for gibbs. szczur has a single, double and SB in 5 AB.

simpson kinda sucked again: 4.2 ip, 7 h, 4 er, 1 bb, 5 k, 2 hr.

One thing to note was Simpson and Jokisch were dealing with 30 mph winds blowing out. From the Chiefs' Twitter:

Final line on Simpson as Jokisch gets the final out of the 5th: 4.2ip, 7h, 4r, 1bb, 5k, 2hra...75 pitches/51 strikes in 30 mph winds. Up 6-4

and now Gonzales wih a very wind aided homer to left. We are tied 7-7. That was a pop up to medium left...

Robert Whitenack's promotion sent Rafael Dolis to the pen. I was hoping he'd stick as a starter a little longer. And his pen debut has not gone well - 4 unearned runs and only 1 strikeouts versus 3 walks. Ryan Flaherty hit his 7th HR. He hit 10 last season.

Another solid outing for Nick Struck - 5+ IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 K but he left 2 on when he was taken out in the 6th and the book isn't closed on him. Jae-Hoon Ha hit his 4th HR. He only hit 7 last season and keep in mind, the FSL is normally the biggest pitcher's league in the minors.

Was Flaherty another camp Colvin guy? If so, they really need to think about expanding that program next year.

Keeping Koyie Hill around(which is fine, since it's eventually going to allow Castillo the chance to play everyday) certainly has created a log jam for us in the minors. Clevenger is killing Southern League pitching and has no where to go. Same with Gibbs in the Midwest League. If Brenly doesn't start hitting soon, they may need to make room for Gibbs in Daytona and piss Bob off probably, because Gibbs appears as if he's definitely ready to face FSL pitchers anyway. They could move Cabeza up to Peoria as well, if this were to actually happen.

yeah 75 year old "prospect" smaily borges hit his second home run of the game to give the chiefs the lead in the top of the 10th.

Don't use the word "prospect" when talking about a player/coach, even as a joke. Because it will be a bad joke. The "75 year old" part was hilarious and original though!!

Wind doesn't equal hits.
