Logan Watkins has just been dreadful to begin the season.

Another XBH for Lake, this time a double. Kurcz: 5 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 7 K, 1 HR.

Diamond with another not so hot start, giving up 3 HRs and 6 runs (5 earned) in three innings.

In Daytona, Ha hit his third HR. Kurcz pitched pretty well (7 IP, 1 ER, 3 BB, 9 K).

I wasn't listening to the game but I wonder if this is going to be one of those times where MiLB.com will update Kurcz down to like 5 or 6 innings in a few hours because I don't know that he'd be able to go 7 considering the pitch count he'd need to rack up 9 K/3 BB.

Ha's home run power (in the FSL, no less) has been a surprising positive.

ETA: Kurcz' line updated = 4 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, 1 HR. Rhoderick got the stats for the 5th, 6th and 7th.

Sad to see all those easter eggs from Jackson, and Vitters, but Rebel Ridling is really mashing. Does he project as anything more than a Hoffpauir/Fox/LaHair type, or worse, Blake Lalli? Hes almost 25 years old, but that .404/.474/.692 line sure is pretty, plus hes got a great baseball name. Hes always had solid but not spectacular numbers in the minors, but has always gone largely unnoticed.

He's definitely a bit more than a Lalli type (I like Lalli, in terms of what he provides as a hard-working, willing to do anything guy, but little power at a corner position is never good). Right now, I'd put him along the lines of a Hoffpauir type. That said, I want to see if the power production stays - for all his raw power, he had a .160 ISOP last year. He's got a chance to make the bigs in some fashion ... particularly in a system as weak as our is with corner guys, but IMO, more of a wait and see type for now.
