Brian, can you change the roster limits back to what they should be? I need to know how many players I need to drop. If I remember correctly there is only 3 bench spots. :-k

Bench spots is 3. DL spots is 3.

I suppose I can go in and adjust them back now. I think all it will do now is say that your roster is currently illegal, rather than no longer allowing you to draft.

ETA: Bench has been adjusted as has minor leaguers to allow up to 15 during the draft.

Do we have to get rosters legal now or until the start of the season?

Before the first game of the season starts, your roster must be legal. Before you will be allowed to make trades, your roster must be legal.

With that said, I have activated the add/drop feature (and I added and then dropped Carlos Silva) so that each team can add their draft picks in the prospect draft. I will reset it to a waiver process once the season begins.

Also, if anyone wants to add major league players who are not currently minor league eligible to their roster to fill any holes that the draft didn't fill, feel free. That's mostly for Chuck, who still needs an active OF and one more reserve spot to fill his major league roster.

So Silva has been dropped twice within two days. :D

There was a method to my madness.

Someone refresh my memory....I know you can only make lineup changes before games begin on Monday's (except for injury) but can you change out starting pitchers during the week in order to get your seven starts?

Yes you can change your rotation to get your self 7 starts or pick which 7 you want to use.

We should probably go over the rules about when you can remove a hitter from a line-up.

A player can be on Roadkill's DL If and only if he is on a MLB DL.

A player can be moved from your line-up to your bench if and only if he is day-to-day? What is the rule again?

I think if a player is moved mid week to your bench something has to indicate it on Roadkill or the player has to be moved to the DL just to eliminate any of the grey areas.

We typically only allow roster changes if the player isn't going to be playing. Bereavements, injuries, sickness, and the like. We do not approve of roster changes because someone is flat out sucking it up on the field or because the team got rained out or because it was an off day for the team.

Common sense stuff for the most part. The league is designed to mostly be a weekly roster for your position players and switching out starting pitchers just to get the 7 starts you prefer.

No need for a 500 page rules manual to cover every little detail. Spirit of the rules dictates that we don't want you to suffer without a 1b for a whole week if your guy snaps his tibia on Monday. That you chose to play Ty Wiggington at 1b on Monday and he's O'fer come Thursday is not a good enough reason to make the switch, however.

I plan to play Wiggington only as a 2B where he will be 3 for 4 with a HR, 4 rbis, 2 2B and 3 runs plus he steals home...
