there is a huge gap between "free" and "pick which is guaranteed to yield a really good player."

 

if other people are dumb enough to give up a king's ransom for players you have to release, i can't control that.

seriously though, i'm kinda in shock (though not really) that nobody else thinks there is a problem with trades like this.

 

tim got halladay for free and won the championship with him. he essentially borrowed halladay for five months and nobody thinks this is kinda ridiculous?
