Pirates cuts

Duke, LaRoche, Young.

 

No surprises, really. I just thought Duke & LaRoche would have stuck around to the non-tender deadline, but neither was going to get tendered.

 

Young was a decent bat off the bench, but no glove, and, when given regular at bats two years ago, really didn't do anything with them.

I thought for certain Jim Hendry would pounce on his AAAA franchise, but the one I thought he would target was just acquired by Arizona.
