On Monday my manager announced that whichever rep had the best activity numbers by Thursday at noon would be given 2 tickets to todays Cubs game, in section 120 I think.

Well this morning at 8am my manager called us into a quasi meeting to discuss why our team's numbers are so unusually low this week.

The prospect of going to a Cubs game is now demotivating to the average worker. Yay?

that was quick.

I would like to see where the Cubs rank in the last 5 years or so in % of half innings where they gave up runs immediately after scoring them.

If I had to bet, I'd say nowhere near as poorly as you think.

PROVE HIM WRONG.

A) At least Grassbass did. At the very least he had the brains and motivation to go and find the stats, which is more than can be said for you. All you did was piss and moan.

B) I don't think they even keep stats on such a thing.

Every time the CUBS blow 2 leads in a week this question seems to come up. I recall considering the issue a couple of years ago..... yes, I know that things do change over time...... but back then, over the course of two seasons, the CUBS actually scored immediately after the opponent did slightly more often than the opponent scored immediately after the CUBS did. The numbers were so close, that I was content to write it off as statistically insignificant and consider it one of those things that evens out over time. I have nothing on other teams to compare against the CUBS.
