Not that the cubs are going anywhere this year but it's really encouraging to see them within a caught relay of a 4 game sweep of the phillies. The offense is starting to heat up, something we've been waiting for all year long. It's possible the offense was just in a horrific slump all season and is starting to hit to potential, something that has happened to other teams before. Or maybe it's just a mirage - a brief moment of competency in a lost year.
