Maybe if the Cubs were doing better, I'd be a bit more enthusiastic. Anyway, the Cubs send out Zambrano (1-4, 6.14) against Randy Wolf (4-5, 4.66)

Go Cubs! Do well so I actually root for you when I'm in the bleachers on the 18th!

I will because hockey blows.

Ive never been a hocky fan before, but Ive watched some of the PO games this year, and its a damn exciting sport to watch, up their with football. Hell of a lot better than basketball. The only problem is its sometimes hard to follow the puck. Im not one of those bandwagon Hawks fans who are suddenly going to go out and buy a Kane or Toews jersey and a car flag and all kinds of other crap, but as long as we have a potential championship team in town, Im going to watch them and root them on. Its not like the 2005 White Sox where their out quasi rivals and were rooting for them to lose. Well I was anyway.

Theriot 2B

Baker 3B

Lee 1B

Byrd CF

Nady RF

Sori LF

Soto C

Castro SS

Z P

This looks like Monday's lineup with Byrd & Nady reversed. Yet another unique lineup...... that's 46 in 58 games.

See, Lou really is changing things up !!!

anyone that truly believes "hockey blows" should quit being a sports fan... but this is a discussion for another thread.

I'm a baseball fan.

I'm a baseball fan.

I guess I don't understand how someone can find baseball exciting and then not find hockey exciting...

I don't hate hockey. I'm just indifferent. The White Sox are hate material.

What's worse: Theriot leading off, or Soto hitting seventh?

Theriot leading off is worse. Castro hitting eighth is worse than Soto hitting seventh. Soto may be better than Hill, but he's been nothing special lately.

No one can love baseball and not love curling. Or watching bowling.

Switch Soto and Theriot would be fine by me. Catcher Jason Kendall formerly led off all the time.

Im fine with Soto 7th. Theriot 1st is just poor logic. Guys who cant hit, take walks, or properly baserun are not traditionally leaadoff hitters. In fact, theyre usually lucky to be on the bench, especially if they're not particularly good fielders. Castro batting 8th is the worst though. Granted, hes cooled down since he came up, but batting ahead of poorly hitting pitchers is a great way to ensure that he doesnt see many good pitches leading him to get overly agressive, ala Ryan Theriot.

Yes, because curling and bowling are both widely considered more exciting than baseball.

I realize hockey is big in upstate NY ... but in most of this country, hockey isn't "widely considered."
