Cards sending Lohse and Penny to the DL. IT'S GONNA HAPPEN

Well, Lohse's replacement, P.J. Walters has been impressive this year in the minors and has been better than Lohse. Wells strikes him out.

It doesn't matter what piece of Howry you put in your rotation, they'll do just fine.

Eh, the bullpen seems burnt out right now. It may be addition by subtraction.

Your team era is sub 3. That's so burnt out.

For those who follow the minors, Cashner has faced the minimum through 5 having allowed 1 hit and then getting the DP.

I'm talking about the past two days. They had to pitch 6 innings yesterday and 5 2/3 today.

How much longer can we keep him down if he keeps doing this?

Posting from section 217 at the game. There are a ton of Cubs fans here. Even more than last night.

Did you hook up with Vance ?

Gross.

Didn't know he was here.

What is with this strike zone? At least 3 times tonight a Cubs batter has acted like they were almost hit with a fastball yet it was called a strike. I can't tell anything from my vantage point.

He's getting really painful to watch.

Aramis is really killing the Cubs right now, especially with Lou's stubborn insistence on hitting him in the middle of the order. What can they really do? Can the Cubs DL him with the thumb injury and then send him out for a rehab assignment until he figures things out?
