Well 2 years ago it was blue, last year it was red, so naturally this year it's white.

It would look fine if the Cubs had been one of the teams to randomly get a blue brim and logo outline (see here). White crown, blue brim and trim with the Cubs home jersey would actually look good. As it stands, though, the white and red is going to look awkward as all get out with whatever home jersey the Cubs elect to wear that weekend. I just don't get it, MLB and New Era. I just don't get it.

you are right the blue looks good and its beyond me why New Era would pick red for a team that has very little red in its overall uniform. New Era markets to the "gangster" crowd. Its more than a little ironic that they make hats in so many "gang colors"... The Yankees alone have pretty much every single gang color available.
