He was hitting way over his head and was due for a correction at some point. Hopefully he'll use the slump to lay off more pitches, take a few more walks, and make the adjustments he needs to make. With any luck, he'll continue showing that his power surge wasn't a fluke.

I think his current slump shows that calls for him to be brought up now are premature. I think he could still benefit from some time in the minors.

There's also a good chance that they are taking a new approach to trying to get him out. They're probably throwing him more breaking balls and challenging him less with fastballs. A spike in walks for the next week or so would be a good sign.
