Marmol is a guy who probably needs regular work to keep from hitting the backstop for 8 straight pitches. While I'm not sure if both were necessary, would you rather Marmol had pitched in neither Wednesday or Friday and now been on 5 days rest going into today?

 

Nope. My point is that he got a bit of work yesterday warming up and getting the final out in the 9th. They could have then just sat him down and sent out one of the kids and just left him out there since he had 7 runs to play with.
