Trade Advice

So I have been going over this one all day and I can not decide what to do. My team is currently is 1-3 and I am coming off winning the championship last year, and people are out to make sure I don't this year. We are in a deep league with 12 teams and 20 roster spots so there are very few free agents to make a move with.

Here is my current players that I play

QB: J. Flacco & B. Farve

RB: B. Jacobs, C. Portis, L. Johnson, L. White

WR: A. Johnson, D. Bowe, D. Henderson, Massaquoi, J. Witten, M. Muhammad, L. Coles.

We play in a 1 QB, 1/2 RB, 3/4 WR, 1 K league with standard scoreing.

I know that I need to make some moves, and so do others. But here is the trade I have been offered.

B. Farve, B. Jacobs, and A. Johnson for E. Manning, M. Jones-Drew, and either Welker or Edwards.

1st would you think about this trade, and 2nd who has more value Welker or Edwards?

Thanks!

That would leave you with banged up Bowe as your top receiver along with banged up Eli Manning and possibly (depending on who you pick) banged up Welker. Edwards probably won't add much to your team in the near future but could be good down the stretch. If it was PPR I'd give the edge to Welker. I still probably would rather have Welker, but I really don't know what to expect out of Edwards. That's a high risk/high reward situation. He could continue sucking, or he could return to Pro Bowl form.

While losing Andre Johnson would hurt, MJD is the best player in this trade, and you would be getting him. I'm also on the sell Favre while he's hot bandwagon - which will probably peak after the STL game this Sunday.

Flacco has really stepped it up and playing the matchup game with him and Manning would be fine.

MJD and Jacobs would be a nice RB tandem.

Witten is considered a WR in your league? If so, Bowe (as Cassell progresses), Welker, Witten (best other matchup guy each week) would probably be ok.

Jacobs would be gone in the trade as well.

I would be left with MJD and either Portis or Johnson depending on if either one does anything from here on out.

We do not have an extra spot for a TE so they are counted as WR's.

MJD is still the best player in the trade, and right now I need a guy that will put up points weekly. But, is it giving up to much in any circumstance to give up B. Jacobs and A. Johnson?

Ah, I read that wrong. Why don't you try countering and include Portis or LJ instead of Jacobs?

I did try to counter with that exactly. I actually threw in both Portis and Johnson, but he said he is only intersted in Portis and Jacobs.

He has TO who I tried to get because I still think he has more up side then Edwards or Welker. I have also tried to get Gates, but he is his keeper going into next year.

So at this point I am pretty much stuck with his options. Who is worth more Farve or E. Manning? I am stuck on that as well.

I like Manning more, over the course of the season.

I got offered Collins and Boldin for Mendenhall and Sanchez. I have to start 2 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, and one flex, and I have

Cutler

Brady

Sanchez

C. Johnson

Rice

L. Johnson

Mendenhall

Colston

Maclin

B. Johnson

Morgan

Ginn

A. Gonzalez

Worthwhile deal?

Close call... you are shallow in WR. But I don't know that I would do it since Collins is pretty useless.
