what is this, seven wins in our last eight? why are we playing so well now?

 

and yea its the pirates, but wow dempster had some movement on his pitches tonight.

 

We're playing so well right now because there is no pressure. Once they're realistically and/or mathematically out of it, the Cubs can hang with just about anyone.

 

The bigger the game, the greater the chance the Cubs crap the bed.

 

Although it is nice to use this time to build for next year.... see who's worth keeping and what the kids have. Now all we have to do is sit through a long, cold, Cubless winter and long for that great day in April when they return.

well since a certain player was removed from the team, they have only lost twice going 7-2 in that stretch

 

i know it means nothing but its pretty rare for this team to have 3 consecutive winning seasons
