I need to start looking into Smokies playoff tickets.

When do the playoffs start?

Figured it out I think - Sept. 10-20.

I'm assuming they wouldn't be sell outs, but does anybody have any idea how tickets work? Could I just go to the window and buy them, or would it have to be done online?

brett jackson has sat out the last two games... hope he's not hurt again.

dae-eun rhee sucked - 2 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 1 BB, 0 K, 2 HR. antigua was good - 5 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 3 K.

To be honest, I wouldn't read too much into Rhee's performances until midway through 2010, if not later. Here's hoping he can get it going earlier, but if not, I'm okay, provided that there are some positive signs.

From the Boise announcer's blog, it sounds like his stuff is back. His control has been far worse than 2008 in Peoria, which is not uncommon for someone returning from TJS so I'm not too concerned. I'm just glad he's pitching again and not in a simulated game environment in the back fields of FItch. Hopefully he makes progress at Instructs and looks good when he's at Peoria or Daytona to start next season.

Quick observations from last night's game.

Cashner topped out at 94. Worked in the 91-93 range. He held the velocity all game. He doesn't look like he has a very good secondary pitch at this point, at least not if last night was any indication. He looked really good though.

Dan Cortes was pitching for West TN. He also looks like a future major leaguer. He's huge and threw several pitched 96-97. He also had a great curve ball.

Errors were the downfall of the Jaxx last night. It was a great game to watch and a perfect evening.

Some other things:

Castro made two great plays ranging to his left last night. As I said earlier, not much offense to report. Both pitchers were head and shoulders above the hitters last night.
