Brandon May sort of reminds me of Jake Opitz, for some obvious reasons.

Anyone know how McNutt's secondary pitches are looking? Seems like a very fascinating arm that hasn't gotten as much discussion.

Brandon May is making his pro debut, he's batting 7th for Mesa and DHing.

BA seemed high on him as a second day guy during the draft. I'm curious to see if he has a future or is just roster filler.

If you believe this poster at an Alabama message board, May got quite a bit of coin and will be converting to catcher:

TideFans.com[/url]"]Being from Georgia we have some friends close to Brandon's situation and the Cubs came after him pretty hard after watching him play for Cotuit in the Cape at SS for 11 games and 2B for 8 games comitting only 1 error. He signed for 8th round money, and although they drafted him as second baseman are trying to convert him to catcher.

That is a very good Bama sports site and most people on this site are legitimately when reporting Bama related news. I don't know much about that poster seeing as he has less then 20 posts on the site, but I would prolly give him the benefit of the doubt. If he says May got 8th rd money, then I believe the poster.

Do other organizations convert people to catcher as much as we do?

Why don't we just convert him to pitcher now and cut out the middle step?
