Horrible series, but did get hooked up on some amazing seats for Sunday's game.

Clearly, Lou did not like that call at second base.

Took my son out there for his first Cubs games...there was a great atmosphere. We went to Friday & Saturday games. The Cubs really played bad both games, but squeaked one win out of it.

I will post some pics later, but the highlight for my son had to be on Saturday morning (after getting kicked out of the Cubs hotel) my 9-year old son was able to get Piniella's autograph as he was driving away from the hotel. Totally cool and he thought it was awesome.

He also got to talk to Wells, got his auto and also Koyie Hill. He is from Wichita, KS, and we live close so that got him to come over to us.

A few disappointments - Angel Guzman & Andres Blanco are punks. They came and left the hotel maybe 4 times while we were there and they would not even acknowledge us. We sat right next to them in the hotel and they acted as if we were invisible. They were acting like they were on top of the world (btw - blanco did not look really that badly hurt ;) )

He loved it which made it a great time for me!

I'm glad your kids had a good time, but I disagree with the Guzman/Blanco statement. They are in no way required to acknowledge you. I can completely understand any Pro athlete wanting to be left alone, and it doesn't seem they did anything hurtful. Anytime an athlete does what Wells/Hill did it should just be seen as a bonus IMO; they are certainly not required to do so.

Though if there's more to the Blanco/Guzman encounter, feel free to tell.

Look, I agree for the most part. not many of us have any idea what it is like to have people wanting autographs and to talk to you everywhere you go. That is what I was trying to explain to my son. While we are there one or two days, they have people everyday wanting to talk to them. That was not my point. I especially understand the big stars who are the ones getting hammered everyday. My point with Blanco/Guzman is that they were acting like they were the big stars when in reality they have hardly been up in the big leagues. It was a feeling that I am entitled to, but there was a difference between how Lee & Ramiriz, who did not respond either, and how Blanco/guzman responded...there was an appearance about them that they are better than anyone else...
