Sam Fuld called up...Soto to the DL

The extra catcher will apparently have to wait with Coste out of the picture. Bruce Miles is reporting on his blog (originally on the Iowa Cubs web site) that Fuld was called up to take the roster spot vacated by Soto.

If a trade can't be arranged by the end of the All-Star break I think it's a 100% certainty that a catcher will be called up. I think they might be waiting because neither of the catchers currently active for Iowa (Clevenger and Robinson) have used any options yet, and they might not want to burn an option for a player who might only be up for 2 days.
