I'd hope for a walk off but I don't see how he's hitting one to right (plus he's Fontenot). Maybe he can go opposite field.

Theriot has been on a tear lately emphasizing how bad he is defensively as a SS.

 

What do you mean that was a hit. Theriot is having a good defensive series. No errors.

Just because an error isn't called doesn't mean that Theriot doesn't have the arm and the range of a 14-year-old girl.

 

Yes, I was. Some people only look at errors to judge defense.

How many times has he taken the first pitch right down the middle?

 

That's why I think he actually needs to be more aggressive despite his slump. Seems like more often than not he's getting the best pitch thrown first, like pitchers know he's not going to swing and they want the gimme strike.

So in the past 15 innings, the Cubs seem to have reverted back to the garbage we saw all through June and May. Good to know.

 

Yeah, I mean it's not like they faced two of the best pitchers in the NL this year or anything.
