Stellar. He's arguably the best defensive catcher in the Cubs system (the only guy with an argument is Luis Flores).

 

I know he's hot right now, but remember, the PCL is a hitter's league.

Steve Clevenger in Tenessee also seems to be doing well for himself. He has a .356 avg. and a .464 OBP, which shows hes also got some patience at the plate. Howeverm neither Clevenger and Robinson, neither appesr to have too much power, but does Soto either at this point?

Clevenger has displayed very little power in the past too (actually, he's slugging .600 this season in limited at bats). He definitely can control the strike zone very well and is a good lefty bat. His defense has improved too. He'd certainly make a great backup catcher.

On Opening Day here, Jody Davis gave that honor to Mark Reed. And said it wasn't close.

Finally recovered from being at the Iowa game yesterday. Atkins looked really good after the 1st inning. I believe his 1 BB was to the 2nd batter of the game then settled in nicely. Fuld helped him out with a couple of nice plays and Matulia had a great diving stop preventing a single from the leadoff hitter, but everything else was very routine.
