I had high hopes for this kid when we drafted him so high. If I remember correctly, Harvey was looking forward to 2007 when he could RF(replacing Sammy) and send blasts onto Waveland. Now, I don't even know where he's gone. What happened to him? I know his swing had some holes but did the coaching help?

He was released in the offseason.

Harvey signed with the Rockies and is playing for the Tulsa Drillers in Double A.

poor pitch recognition, strike zone discipline and inability to hit a decent curveball. being able to hit the ball a mile is a nice tool to have, but when you can't hit the ball very often, it's pretty useless except in BP.

Ive been watching this David Kelton kid for a while now. He was supposed to be great at one point, but hasnt quite figured it out yet. Any idea if he'll be called up any time soon? Theres another guy named Dopirek whose supposed to be pretty good too.

This isn't some elite part of NSBB for minor league geeks only - anyone with a passing interest can drop in and ask questions, passé as they may be.

 

Some may even stick around because this place is so interesting. :wink:
