Big Z wants new ballpark

I wonder if the Olympics could result in a new stadium for the Cubs somehow, sort of like what happened in Atlanta. :-k

 

 

 

Are they planning any facilities that wouldn't be temporary?

I was actually just reading about the bid in the USA Today yesterday and only something like 25% of construction is permanent. The main Olympic stadium is on the south side and will be stripped down to a 7,500 seat stadium after.

 

I guess the IOC's reccommendations are for there to not be too many permanent structures.

I love the "old tyme" feel of Wrigley, but nothing seems to be sacred in this game anymore. Been nice knowing you Wrigley.

I have long held out hope that Wrigley lasts until my children are at least teenagers. Lets for round numbers call it 2030.
