Cubs to retire no. 31

It's a tough one.

Maddux has been much loved, and having him basically finish his career back in Chicago helps.

My Dad is a Cubs fan, and he's always liked how exclusive the retired #s are at Wrigley. It seems to be getting less exclusive.

 

As a Cards fan looking at a Maddux # retirement, all I can think is that there's no retired # for Steve Carlton in St. Louis. He was a Philly. Maddux will always be a Brave in my mind.
