Trade Offers

One of the major complaints I see on here repeatedly, is people not responding to trade offers. Therefore, everyone is required to respond to trade offers either on the site or with a short message indicating it is under consideration or whatever. The timeframe should be within a couple days of the offer being made. Please report any offers with no response within a week to me so we can figure out why no response is being made. With this in mind, it would be helpful to let everybody know if you will be away from your computer for significant lengths of time during the season. I don't want to make this a police-state type of deal but it is very frustrating to others if you don't respond at all. A simple note saying "I'm looking at it and will try to respond by " will suffice.

I think that's a good idea. When someone makes me an offer, if I'm still thinking it over after a day I'll let the other manager know so they at least know I got the offer and am considering it. On a rare occasion something unexpected can suddenly come up where someone is unexpectedly without Internet access, but generally if someone isn't going to have access for awhile they know it ahead of time.
