Week 16 Sit/Start (Championship Week!)

I'm up 33 points with Jennings going tonight and my opponent has Matt Forte. If I lose I'm going to be pissed... but the Bears will have likely blown out the Packers, so not all bad.

 

You're safe. I don't know how your league is set up, but 33 points in mine is 150 yards and 3 TDs. And that assumes Jennings gets zip. Won't happen.

 

But you bring up an interesting point, one that comes up in fantasy all the time. I want Jennings to have a good game and have the Bears win. With Forte and the Bears D helping. I win $700 if I win tonight. That's a lot of scratch. I don't want it to come down to the Bears losing though.

 

Yeah, I really try not to pick players from the NFC North for just that reason. I only stand to win $160 though, if it was $700 it would be much harder to avoid cheering for opposing players! :D

 

edit: oh, and I ended up with Jennings because he slipped in my draft and I couldn't pass on him.

I hear you. I abandoned those types of loyalties long ago after several years of consistently crappy teams. And Jennings has been pretty good this year. And because of the size of the pot, I'll definitely be rooting for him to catch some balls. Maybe 150 yards and no TDs. :-"

Well I won my league which means a minor cash payout and trash talking rights amongst high school friends. Oh and they have to drive to Milwaukee for the draft next year!

I'm still 4 points down at the 2:00 warning. I need a miracle. A Jennings TD or a Bears D TD seem like my only options at this point. I'd prefer the latter. :D

Yeah I lost by 2.58 points. My league didn't give me credit for the "fumble recovery" on the muffed punt. Nor do we get points for blocked kicks. I didn't even know that until just now when I went to look it up.

 

Oh well. I still won $250 for finishing second.

i had the thing all sealed up until Forte rushes for like 80 yards and a score on that late drive and puts the guy i'm facing up by 1.5 pts

 

if the 4th down spot came up short, if driver didn't drop the 40 yard strike down the middle, if GB doesn't get a huge run back on that late drive i'd probably be $250 richer now. starting Roddy White in my flex spot over Choice and McClain will haunt me forever
