The difference is they think they have a case because the NFL's drug hotline told some of those players that it was acceptable to use this Starcaps substance. The NFL's stance has always been you are ultimately responsible for what you put in your body, so it shouldn't matter what the hotline says. It's not just a cut and dry case involving players testing positing for starcaps and then complaining about it.

 

I thought the hotline told them they needed to get back to them later, and then took a long time.

 

But whatever. I still think it throws the NFL's policy into relative chaos. Now that there's been a outside court success, at the very least it opens the door for other players to head to court to see how far they can push that avenue to getting a ruling they like.
