in 2003 the cubs traded hundley for karros/ grudz right?

 

he said karros was a fa signing, and a pithter was in the grudz deal.

Look towards the bottom of Hundley's BR page where it lists all of the transactions in his career. He was traded with Chad Hermanson for Karros and Grudz. The only part that was wrong above was the trade technically happened in 02 (Dec 4).

Is it possible that your friend is confusing the Karros/Grud for Hundley trade with the EY/Valdez for Adams/minor leaguers trade? Otherwise, I don't know what your friend is thinking about.
