Cubs emerge as Front Runner for Peavy?

Wow, I was viewed Peavy as somebody I would love to have but figured I was dreaming.

Also I guess on the radio today they said the deal thrown out their right now is Pie, Ceda, Cedeno, and I forgot the other name but I know Vitters wasnt involved in the deal.

 

I love Felix Pie, I even think he does still have a future as a possible All Star CF but Ill pack his bags for Jake Peavy to come to town.

The Cubs may have overtaken the Braves as the favorites to land Jake Peavy, according to FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal.

 

Felix Pie would seem to be pretty close to a lock to be included in a Peavy deal with the Cubs. Other possibilities include Rich Hill, Sean Marshall, Ronny Cedeno, Mike Fontenot and Donald Veal. Rosenthal believes the Cubs could possibly acquire Peavy and re-sign Ryan Dempster, but that it would cost them a chance of retaining Kerry Wood

I guess when choosing betwen Demp and Wood, it comes down to would we rather have a legendary rotation and a shakey bullpen or an awesome rotation and a solid bullpen.
