you should advise that guy to just stick to the deep fryer from now on

So you make a comment like that and then disappear?

Well I don't know how that wouldn't be a personal attack on me to say something like that...When Cro Magnon knows absolutely nothing about me

Hendry can't afford to take a chance on a lottery ticket for a full time position.

He wouldn't be a lottery ticket...Even with his decline at the end of the year he still was one of the best players in the American League

I'm talking about taking chances on guys like Hamilton or Quentin before they explode at the majors.

Quentin was no lottery ticket ... he was a top notch prospect that didn't have a position in Arizona. Hamilton, for that matter, was a top notch prospect as well, but we all know why he didn't pan out in the beginning.

Both were top notch prospects at one point who had serious issues. Quentin far less than Hamilton, but both had their issues.

I need some reasoning behind thinking a guy with about 50 professional ABs in the previous 5 years is anything more than a lottery ticket. Quentin struggled mightily the year before while going through injury issues all season.
