Question for out of market Cubs fans

We don't even have many real baseball fans out here in Oregon with no local pro team. A few wannabe Mariner fans and thats about it. Most of my friends don't even really like baseball and know better than to ask me about the Cubs. They know better. They've seen the holes in my walls. My phone hasn't rang much the last week. Figures.

Well, here in Arkansas, people have been treating me like my dog just died. Polite inquiries asking how I'm doing, offers of condolences. Pretty funny actually.

 

I've got a few Cardinals fans who think they're funny. I usually just respond by sending them the picture of Lilly running over Molina.

Friends and family here in Ohio have been pretty kind. They know this year was heart-breaking.

 

And they know if they weren't, I'd probably stab them in the neck.

I think most of my friends learned in 03' how sensitive a subject it is. My friend who is serving in Iraq even called to make sure I was doing ok. My friends/co-workers in Denver have been pretty cool...maybe a "what happened?" email or two, but I don't have to del with the Cubs hatred a lot of you do.
