Where has Gooz been, btw?

In the bullpen and available. But the Cubs haven't exactly needed a lot of middle relief since the last time he pitched. Marmol, Samardzija, and Wood are the only ones who have pitched in the last week. Cotts is the only other pitcher to have pitched since Guzman pitched last (not counting the day after Guzman threw 2 innings when Guzman wasn't available), and he only had 1 outing.

Guzman, Wuertz, Howry, and Hart have all had long layoffs.

Nice Carlos. Kind of worried about Jeff though, he's looked a bit shaky lately.

I never expected it (the dominance) to last very long. Why would he struggle through the minors (though he started finding his way in Iowa) and suddenly be lights out in the majors?

I'm glad he's having a nice run and he's got some nasty movement on his pitches, but Kevin Hart was unhittable last year, too. It's gonna take me a bit longer to be sold on him as a MLB pitcher.

Either way, it's good experience for him.

Great.

Instead of an easy 6-1 win, it'll be more like 6-4 or 6-5.

Howry's up in the pen (edit) & now coming in to start the b9th.

Can we stop using Howry, like, ever?

I mean, granted, if there's a time to use him, it's with a 5 run lead, but considering Guzman hasn't gotten any work in 10 days, I'd rather he get the inning.
