Not that there was a need for him this evening, but there have been spots lately where he could have been used. I havnt seen him, heard his name, or anything. And if hes not injured, its kind of dumb to keep a guy who was on a nice little role between the minors and his 1 appearence with the big league club out of work for so long.

He has pitched twice, not once. There hasn't been a need for him on the days he's been available since his last outing.

 

He last pitched on Sept 5. He won't pitch on consecutive days so he wasn't on the radar on 9/6.

 

Relievers used by day:

 

9/7: Cotts (0.2 IP), Marmol (1.1 IP), Wood (0.1 IP)

9/8: Off day

9/9: Marmol (1.1 IP) - no way he gets in in this situation

9/10: Wood (1 IP) - ditto

 

He's behind Wood, Marmol, Samardzija and Cotts (LOOGY). Probably still behind Howry in the totem pole.

 

I see no reason to worry about injury.

Not only did he pitch on the 5th, but he threw 2 innings. There was no real opportunity for him to pitch since then.

I don't think we'll see anyone on the DL anymore now that the rosters are expanded
