And physically, he appears to have benefitted from Kerry Wood's monthlong blister drama. With Wood sidelined, Marmol was held back as the fill-in closer and pitched only once each in three of the Cubs' first four series out of the break.

 

''Yeah, it's a lot different. You're body possibly feels better because you have more breaks,'' he said. ''Right now my body feels good. I feel stronger.''

 

Lou, please continue to give Marmol his proper rest and we'll see him dominate.

I would like to see Lou stop using Marmol up 7 runs. This would give him more rest, and he could be more dominant in the times we need him.
