RHP Francory Pineda (stats) of the DSL Cubs 1 was suspended 50 games for testing positive for metabolites of Stanozolol, a PED: link.

 

Since then, Starling Peralta, Jesse Lebron and Alexander Mejia have been suspended for PEDs.

 

And on 8/29, Arturo Florentino, Carlos Galvez and Jose Tineo were also suspended for PEDs.

ESPN[/url]"]Chicago Cubs pitcher Jesse Lebron and second baseman Alexander Mejia, both with the club's Dominican Summer League farm team, were suspended for 50 games each Thursday after testing positive under baseball's minor league drug program.

 

Lebron tested positive for Methandienone metabolites and Mejia for a metabolite of Boldenone.

Goodness... our Latin program has problems.

 

I believe this is the first year they're testing the DSL and VSL teams. 7 doesn't seem way out of hand, most of the teams in Latin America have had their share of players busted.
